Indian Red Cross Society Muzaffarnagar distributed nutrition material, hygiene kit and relief material in Leprosy Ashram.

In compliance with the instructions given by General Secretary Dr. Himabindu Naik and Shri Akhilendra Shahi, Vice Chairman, State Branch Red Cross, under the leadership of Honorable Shri Umesh Mishra, District Magistrate and President and Dr. Mahavir Singh Faujdar, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Indian Red Cross Society Muzaffarnagar, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on 2 October, hygiene kit, nutrition kit, medicine kit and relief material were distributed today on 1 October at Gauri Shankar Leprosy Ashram Khatauli. On this occasion, District Deputy Leprosy Officer Dr. Vipin Kumar and Dr. Ashwani Kumar Singh, Superintendent, Community Health Center Khatauli were present. Dr. Vipin Kumar presented the details of various schemes being run for leprosy patients and Superintendent Khatauli informed the details of availability of their treatment and facilities through Community Health Center. Red Cross Society Chairman Dr. Ashok Arora discussed in detail about various national health programs and discussed about the hygiene kits and relief material distributed. Red Cross program coordinator Mr. Pradeep Sharma discussed in detail about the facilities being provided to leprosy patients by the health department and informed them about the education of their children.

District management committee member Mr. Ashok Sharma and life member Mr. Mahak Singh and Red Cross volunteers Shivraj Singh and Din Bahadur and Community Health Center Khatauli's Leprosy Supervisor Shiv Vijay and other staff were also present in the program.
